The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, often called the United Kingdom, the UK or Britain was my third foreign country to visit for trackchasing.  It was my first European trackchasing country.  I have made several trackchasing trips to the U.K. and have seen more than 40 tracks there.  The UK includes of island of Great Britain, the northeast part of the island of Ireland and many small islands.  Northern Ireland is the only part of the UK with a land border sharing it with Republic of Ireland.  Apart from the land border the UK is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the English Channel and the Irish Sea.  The United Kingdom is the union of four constituent countries including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  I have had more racing fun in the UK with friends and family than any other foreign country I have visited.
