World's #1 Ranked Trackchaser

This is the entire Long Beach Airport terminal.  Pretty small, huh?

There are not many commercial airports where a jetway is not used.

The Boyd Raceway is out in rural Texas.  This unlighted sign was difficult to see when I returned to the track after dark.

Wouldn't you think you could get a decent ham sandwich from a place that advertised like this?  You couldn't!

Spring is just about ready to reach Norman, Oklahoma, home of the University of Oklahoma.

This is the University of Oklahoma football stadium.  I just missed seeing their spring football scrimmage by 30 minutes.

Shouldn't a track that opened in 2003 have their sign updated by 2005?  How about "3 tracks in 1"?  Currently the Outlaw Motor Speedway has only one countable track.

The Outlaw Motor Speedway track facilities are state of the art.

Port City Raceway runs micro-sprints.

By the time they finally started racing, there wasn't much light.

The facilities at the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit were modest, but the people were friendly.

This all-purpose building held the scoring tower, souvenir shop, cafe and information center at Hallett.

You can see forever at some points on the 1.8 mile circuit.

The Hallett Motor Racing Circuit starter's stand.

Unlike many road courses, the Hallett Circuit is not flat.

Garages at Hallett are modest.

After a long day of walking around the circuit, I needed some nourishment.

There are many different viewing points at this track.

The track has a lake on the property.  It will look much more attractive when things turn green.

This looks like fun!

Can you say S..M..A..L..L, as in this is a small crowd!  This was what the stands looked like at feature time......and the people voted with their feet.

Yep!

When I saw this driver, I knew the track would be countable.

This man was driver, crew chief and pit crew all rolled into one.  I talked with him and he was having a ball.

These cars finished 1-2 in each of the three races.

I thought it was a little dangerous watching from here.  There was no wheel fence to keep cars from flying over the three foot high wall.

This was the six car feature event.  The same six cars ran in heats one and two.
